Casey's First Day Of School

September 2, 2008
Casey's First Day Of School

He had a rough time in the morning.
Did not want to wear his back pack.
He had no idea what he was in for.
I think we were more upset than him.

When he came home I asked him "what did you do at school today?"
He said "I cried"
Sad Feelings.....

His first 2 weeks were tough, but he is now getting the hang of it. He is a BIG BOY. Thats when he puts his hands over his head to show you he is big. He also does not cry anymore. This was documented in the form of a beautiful banner that he was given by his teacher.

Casey's First Time On The Potty 9.01.08

Casey used the potty today for the first time alone. He used it yesterday but that was with Pam's help. Today he did it all by himself! We are very proud of him. Here is a shot of the proud boy partaking in a lifelong man tradition of reading in the bathroom.... he takes after "Yampa" (Grampa, as he calls him).

More Photos Of Casey's Mets Game

More Photos of Casey Stengel

Casey's First Baseball Game

Last night Casey watched the Mets beat the Astros at his first baseball game ever, and one of the last at the old Shea Stadium. Not so happy on the ride there, but an Oreo turned that right around. A fun night was had by all. Casey was a handful, but Daddy had alot of help from the girls (thank god)(thanks blake & jessy).... He ate Oreos, chicken fingers & fries (which he burned his tongue on), then some Italian Ice, to cool his tongue. He didn't eat all of the ice and Uncle Milky had to eat the rest... He loved yelling "Hit the ball" at the players, which was kinda funny.

This morning he still had his Mets shirt on and refused to take it off. He loves "Batball" as he calls it. If you think about it, it's a more accurate name for the sport.

Adding to the funfactor, the game was attended by many of my cowrokers. Casey proceeded to "Spagett" them all

Very tired on the way home, he watched Blue's Clues then fell asleep in 5 minutes

Casey & The Big Italian Chair

Here are some cameraphone shots of Casey at the Holy Rosary Italian Feast in Jersey City.
My mom went to this school and has been going to this Feast for ages.

It was a great time and Casey had fun sititng in this enormous chair. Note the giant Italian flag. He also won a stuffed animal by making a basket into one of those rigged basketball stands that inflates the ball to its maximum limit and bends the rim into an oval making it nearly impossible to make a shot.

He then put on a dance routine in front of the live band that had everyone in stitches. It was part Chuck Berry duck walke, part Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo. I do not know where he gets his moves from. Maybe Mama....

Spaghetti Cat

Ok this has nothing to do with Lil Man but it was so funny I had to share.

During Mike & Juliet's Morning Show, for no reason they put in this image. I found out the real reason why from an insider (thanks John)

Just watch the video and do not drink milk while you are doing so.

Casey Phelps

Here is my crude rendering of Casey as an Olympic swimmer.

For no reason at all.

Casey At The Disney Tour

Here are photos from our trip to the Disney Block Party Tour.

It wasn't so bad from the adult persective. We had a great time actually. It was a little hot, butthey had nice tents that had mist spraying out to cool you down. Casey had an excellent time with his cousins (except Charlie who was sick and had to go home early)

Thanks to Mama Pam for gtting the free tickets for everyone!!

He especially enjoyed the music room and playing drums. Imagine Guitar Center crammed into a little tent and everyone playing the instruments are toddlers .It was loud, but cute.

Here are some shots of the music room, and Casey hugging Raina one too many times (raina is very patient with him)

Casey In Wildwood Part 2

Here are more pictures form our trip to the Caribbean Motel.

It is a lovely clean place. Super quiet and nice.

I used to go to Wildwood as a kid with my family every year.
It holds a special place in my heart. Reminds me of a time when life was much less complicated and care free. I don't remember alot of my childhood, (which the shrinks say means you had a great childhood) but I remember EVERY trip to Wildwood.

The final shot of Casey watching Blues Clues on my iPod is a favorite of mine. He loves "Blue Clue" (as he calls it) to wind down before bedtime.

Casey in Wildwood NJ

Part 1 of Caseys trip to Wildwood with Rob & Korena
Photos By Rob... (Thanks)

Casey had a ton of fun in the pool, eating boardwalk food, taking silly fotos in Cowboy outfits, and watching Daddy lose at Skill Crane.... Where is Uncle Vin when you need him.

Casey After His Bath Time

Here is Casey after his bath with his super cute alligator head towel.
Super Cute.
Do quote Casey "Casey ALLLLL Dry"

Casey In Brick, NJ

Here are some photos of Casey enjoying Deb & Shelly's glorious beach house in Brick, NJ
He loved Baby Felix so much, some times too much....

Here he is playing with Felix, eating off of Daddy's enormously long fork, getting ice cream with Felix, and helping Aunt Deb water the plants....

Casey's 2nd 2nd Birthday Party

Hey...

So Casey's Birthday went off without a hitch (except it was 97 degrees & there were generous amounts of doggy doo doo around).  Despite the heat, fun was had by all.  There actually was a cool breeze underneath the many trees surrounding our area.  Grandma Donna made her famous meatballs, which were amazing even in 90 degree weather.

There were water guns, bikes, and "all the balls" anyone could ever wish to have. Thank you all for coming out and giving Casey AMAZING gifts!!!

Thank you, Alicia, Philip, Charlie & Henry, Marissa, David, Ezra, Raina, & Harper, Gregg, Grandmas' Dianne & Donna, Grandpa Jack, Dorien, Sameena, Vin, Felice, Joe & Hank, Korena, Rob, Hot Strikes, Chris, Jill, Rowan, Wade, Blake, Mike, Eric, Adam, Alan, Ashley, Arlo (Milo), Heidi, Rick, Amelia, Speck, Ron, Shane, Charles & JK & Avery & Mira, & John Z & Katie.

Here are some photos of the day.

Special Thanks to Amelia for making the most AMAZING Noddy Cake this country has ever seen!!!!!
